Is This A Possible Alternative to Tamoxifen?

Medical News: SERM Cuts Risk of Breast Cancer - in Oncology/Hematology, Breast Cancer from MedPage Today

The article talks about an investigational drug called "lasofoxifene". It sounds like they're finding that it works as well as tamoxifen for post-menopausal women with estrogen receptor positive breast cancer and with fewer of the more disturbing side effects that can be caused by tamoxifen, such as other cancers, strokes, and bone loss. It appears to be easier on the heart as well.

The article also indicates that more tests are needed because they don't know what the long-term effects might be but it sounds promising and I will be keeping my eyes peeled for any future developments with this drug.
