I was told that chemo would put me into menopause but since the symptoms can vary considerably from person to person, I don't really know what to expect entirely. I described my night to a friend on the phone this morning and she told me that's what she experiences and why she has trouble sleeping, so I suspect menopause is the culprit.
Really, with this weather, our house is not at all too hot at night but some nights I have such trouble regulating my internal body temperature. I thought menopause would mean "night sweats" but this isn't that. I'm just a little too hot sometimes and so I stick a foot out. But within minutes, I'm too cold so I tuck it back in. Then I stick an arm out. Then it's too cold. Then I take my toquie thing off and that helps for a little while but then I put it back on. Last night it seemed like I was playing the hokey pokey all night. Maybe that IS what it's all about.
Regardless, I ultimately did get enough sleep I think. It just took a lot longer. So here I am at almost lunch time. But I feel pretty good. That's the main thing.
The poppies I planted for Hannah have finally bloomed. She loves poppies.
