Cloistered but Feeling Fiiiiine!

I don't know what these flowers are called but they keep on blooming. They come in various colours and some are richly variegated. They open when the sun shines and close up when it doesn't.

I had a better sleep last night, thanks for asking! And I feel pretty good today. I'll still stay housebound during the day to spare my poor face but I'll emerge in the night to stop by at Katelyn's house warming party.

As for what I'll do today ... who knows ... hmmmm ... the house is my oyster!

  1. I think the flowers are called Osteospermum, known commonly as African daisies. I have some purple ones. They are gorgeous and continue to bloom profusely.

I think what you need is a veil of some sort to protect your face. It could be quite mysterious. Or a mask. You could be anyone!

There is a wonderful soothing cream called Glaxal Base that might be good on your face. It is fragrance free, chemical free, everything free. It's what the Champion Centre recommends for radiation treated skin. You can get it at any pharmacy. Get the tube, not the jar. The stuff in the jar is too thick.

Have a wonderful day my little pearl (in your oyster)!

  2. Hi Heather, I thought your mysterious flowers might be Gazinia's. I planted them when my girls were young and we were all home during the day. They loved to go outside and and would sit and watch as they opened and closed with the sun.

Sending wishes for a lovely day.

  3. Hi Nora,

"Little Pearl" ... Now, THAT'S funny!! Thanks so much for the tip cream recommendation. I'll give it a try. The skin on my face is improving as the dry stuff shed. Other people pay good money for chemical peels. Mine came as a bonus! And some days I would like to try out a veil whether I need one or not. Better yet, a burka. That would do me these days.

Thanks to both you and Terresa Ann for possible names for these flowers. I'm sure there's a tag in the plant pots if I bother to check. I should learn the proper name for them.

And thanks, both of you, for your cheering wishes, too. I'm happy to say that I am feeling much better even if temporarily. ONLY ONE MORE LEFT!
