All of the "Kerr Kids" gathered at Mom's place in Kyle to do some fence building and, as a bonus, some other chores were accomplished, too.
Everyone there got their hands dirty one way or another. Men, women and children did their bit. The picket fence at the front of the yard was built first. The wire fence around the rest of the yard was next. After that, lots of other chores got checked off the list. It was great! And we had a lot of fun, too.
There was sunshine and rain, mosquitoes, the Rider game and the World Cup, Darrel's freshly caught fish for dinner, Jim's "paw/cloud-shaped" burgers another night, and Mom's turkey dinner one night, too. There were cards and video games, a Girl's Road Trip to Swift Current for supplies, lots of Co-ops around (I notice these things now that I work for the Centre for the Study of Co-operatives), getting stuck in the mud on the way to the farm, fireworks at the lake. There was Otto, Allan and his unicycle and iPod skills, Meghan and Dawson with their bikes, climbing trees, going to the park, and hanging out with us.
It was a SUPER weekend!
